Back to School Night at Falls Church Academy |
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 6 - 8:30pm Falls Church High School and Academy will host Back to School Night! We welcome you to visit the Academy classes, meet with the instructors and learn what to expect in the year ahead. Parking is limited due to construction. Available parking will be in the Providence Recreation Center, St. Phillips Catholic Church and some availability at the high school.
Falls Church Academy is excited to welcome three new staff members to our team! Ms. Denise Johnson joins our team teaching Criminal Justice 1 & 2, Mrs. Emily Velez teaches Dental Careers 1 & 2 and Mr. Ken Morehouse is our busy and ever valuable Instructional Assistant. We look forward to getting to know you and to work with you this academic year.
From June 20 to June 25, nine students from Falls Church Academy headed down to hot and steamy Dallas, Texas to compete at HOSA’s 46th Annual International Leadership Conference. Twelve thousand students from all over the world gathered at this conference to compete in various medical related events, attend medical education sessions, meet professionals from various health organizations and create personal connections with students from places like China, American Samoa, Korea, Oklahoma, Montana, and all other states in the US. While our students did not place in any of their events, they worked hard, studied hard and developed a great sense of pride in their medical career path and gained more knowledge about their field of interest.
 Due to construction at Falls Church High School, parking is extremely limited this academic year. Students are greatly encouraged to take the provided shuttles to and from their base school. If students choose to drive to Falls Church Academy for class from their base school, parking passes are in very limited supply and are given on a first come/first serve basis. Students who do drive will need to park at Providence Recreation Center and walk to the high school. The Application for Use of Private Automobile will need to be completed and returned to Ms. Fields in Room 237 before parking can be approved. Falls Church Academy Student Parking Rules, Guidance, Fines and Penalties will apply.
