THIS WEEK AT MADISON
WEEK OF 8/21/23
IMPORTANT INFO & EVENTS
Back to School Night - Thursday 8/24, 6:00-8:15
- This is the parents’ and guardians’ opportunity to meet their children’s teachers. The parents will follow their students’ schedule on Red Days (1, 3, 5, 7) and then Black Days (2, 4, 6, 8). Parents will hear directly from the teachers who will share information about their course and their hopes for the year for the students. This is a widely attended program and parking becomes very limited. Please consider carpooling with other people in your house as well as friends and neighbors. All parents should take a photo or screenshot of their students’ schedules to be prepared for the night.
Senior College Planning Night for Senior Students & Parents/Guardians will be held in the Auditorium at 5:00pm on Thursday, 8/24, prior to Back to School Night.
- Student Services will share information to support students and families in the college planning and application process. Counselors will also be meeting with students during the school day in September.
- Reminder: Seniors who need a counselor letter of recommendation for college applications need to submit their Student Self-Evaluation and Resume (required) and Parent/Guardian Information Form (optional) by September 5.

One School | One Community | One World
Madison High School strives to create and maintain an identity affirming learning environment where our students embrace, support, and encourage each other where multiple forms of identity (i.e. race, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or disability) are recognized and regarded as assets for teaching and learning. We work to ensure school is a place where students feel safe and can be themselves. We do not tolerate hate speech, racist speech, bias, or acts of discrimination in our school. We want all students to feel a sense of belonging. We want to see all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to learning, growing, and building the best Madison High School for all our students. We are One School - One Community - One World.
