Today has been a fantastic first day for our students and staff. We would like to take a moment to share our appreciation for the support we have from our parents and PTA already this year.
Due to the generosity of our PTA, our staff lounge has had a beautiful new makeover complete with a table that seats 12, a large rug, new furniture, a new toaster oven, kettle, and mugs! This is the perfect cozy place for our staff to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and sit down with colleague for lunch.
From parent donations, our staff also has a gorgeous coffee maker that ensures they enjoy the coffee they drink each morning and a brand new, fully stocked recess equipment shed. By providing a shed exclusive to recess and stocking it with favorite games and equipment, every lion has access to play at recess without worrying if their classroom has the proper ball/equipment. This also alleviates the burden of carrying equipment through the building, forgetting equipment at lunch, basketballs rolling through the cafeteria, or bringing items from home. We upgraded our soccer goals and have provided new activities for all lions to enjoy.
