Did You Know...

Jen Zamzow, Ph.D from Psychology Today writes- “Have you ever started out the school year excited for all the memories you’ll make with your kids, only to find yourself barely hanging on by Christmas? What starts out feeling manageable somehow morphs into an endless cycle of activities and responsibilities and the never-ending taxi driving.” Here are some tips on making the school year sustainable.

●     To meet the Meningococcal (MenACWY) 12th grade requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 16 or older.

ACTION REQUESTED: Please provide one of the following immunization documents to Glenda Giroux, Student Information Assistant (SIA), Langley HS as soon as possible:

Technology Information | Chromebook

All students will have the option to check-out a Fortis 14 inch G10 Chromebook to use for instruction. Laptops will be handed out on the 1st and 2nd day of school during English class. Students must follow the FCPS Device Use Guidelines for these devices. Resources to help students get familiar with using a Chromebook will be available in the Langley HS Student Schoology course. Support for these devices will also be outlined in our Langley HS Student Schoology course.

If students would prefer to bring their own device and that device meets our minimum requirements, they may do so. BYOD students should not take an FCPS laptop. The Langley HS technology team will provide an FCPS device for testing as needed to cover students who are not assigned a Langley device. FCPS strives to be good stewards of our taxpayer funds, while also minimizing our longer-term environmental impact. Making sure FCPS devices are being used where they are truly needed is crucial to that stewardship.

ALL students should be aware that they are expected to adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy for Student Network Access outlined FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities at Langley High School.
