I am so grateful for the warm welcome that is being extended to me as your new principal. It has been a pleasure meeting our staff and some parents since my arrival this week. The knowledge, dedication, and care of our staff is clearly apparent in seeing our plans and classrooms come together for the start of the new school year. I am honored to be joining this amazing school community and look forward to working with you to cultivate a positive learning environment where our children will grow and thrive.

Estoy muy agradecido por la cálida bienvenida que se me está brindando como su nuevo director. Ha sido un placer conocer a nuestro personal y a algunos padres desde mi llegada esta semana. El conocimiento, la dedicación y el cuidado de nuestro personal son claramente evidentes al ver nuestros planes y salones de clases juntos para el comienzo del nuevo año escolar. Class Lists/Open House/Community Picnic
Want to know who your student's teachers will be? Class lists will be posted on the front doors of Fort Hunt ES on Wednesday, August 16th at 4:30p. Class lists will also be posted at the Creekside Community Center between 4:30p-5:00p on the 16th.
On Thursday, August 17th from 2:00p-3:00p, come meet your student's teachers, drop off school supplies and meet new friends at our Fort Hunt ES Open House. There will be a bus leaving the Creekside Community Center at 1:30p and returning at 3:00p as well as 5:00p after the picnic.
Then join us out front of the school at a Community Picnic between 3:00p-5:00p on Thursday. Sign up to bring a dish to share and bring a blanket/chairs to sit on while catching up with old friends and making new ones.
Listas de Clase/Puertas Abiertas/Picnic Comunitario
¿Quiere saber quiénes serán los maestros de su estudiante? Las listas de clases se publicarán en las puertas de entrada de Fort Hunt ES el miércoles 16 de agosto a las 4:30 p.m. Las listas de clases también se publicarán en el Centro Comunitario de Creekside entre las 4:30 p. m. y las 5:00 p. m. el día 16.
El jueves 17 de agosto de 2:00 p. m. a 3:00 p. Habrá un autobús que saldrá del Centro Comunitario de Creekside a la 1:30 pm y regresará a las 3:00 pm y también a las 5:00 pm después del picnic.

Back to School Night
Mark your calendars!! Our Back to School Night will be on Wednesday, September 13th from 6:15p-8:00p. We will hold a brief PTA meeting and then begin our Back to School Night.
A bus will be provided and will leave the Creekside Community Center at 5:45p and leave to return to the Community Center at 8:00p.

First Day of School
School begins on Monday, August 21st. The doors open at 8:35a with the tardy bell at 8:55a. All students should be in their classrooms by 8:55a. Dismissal is at 3:40p.
Join us in the courtyard after dropping your students off and to meet other parents at our Coffee and Kleenex event until 9:30a.
