Thursday, August 24 at 6:30 p.m.

Kings Glen will be hosting an in-person Back to School Night on Thursday, August 24th at 6:30 p.m. Our staff love to welcome parents/guardians into the school and classroom and this evening is a wonderful chance to connect with others in the Kings Glen community. Kings Glen staff will share a yearly overview of the curriculum, classroom routines and expectations, general field trip information and more!

To accommodate families with more than one child at Kings Glen, there will be two sessions.  The first session will begin by 6:35 p.m. and the second session will begin by 7:20 p.m.

As a reminder, this event is designed for parents/guardians only. There will be two sessions to accommodate families with more than one child at Kings Glen.

School Meals - Breakfast and Lunch

Preparing for and Paying for Meals at School

Parents/caregivers need to provide their students with money to purchase meals at school, send them with a packed lunch, or apply (and be approved) for free and reduced-price meals benefits. School breakfast for students costs $1.75. Lunch is $3.25 for elementary students and $3.50 for middle, secondary, and high school students.

Paying With MySchoolBucks

The best way to purchase meals (and keep food lines moving!) is to use MySchoolBucks. Set up your student’s MySchoolBucks account today.

MySchoolBucks accounts can be set up to add money to the account automatically, as needed. Families with multiple children can use the same MySchoolBucks account. Visit FCPS’ Food and Nutrition webpage for more information.  (View school menus here)

Free and Reduced-Price Meals

As of October 31, 2022, approximately 34% of students in FCPS qualify for free and reduced-price meals. Families in FCPS that are earning less than 185% of the poverty level can receive meals for their students at no cost.

Approved applications may also qualify students for additional benefits throughout the school year. Families are encouraged to complete the application before the start of school. Up-to-date information is available on the Free and Reduced-Price Meals webpage. Families should reach out to their schools with questions or for assistance.

SIS ParentVue

The SIS ParentVUE Account (Student Information System ParentVUE Account) is the FCPS secure solution for accessing information about your child's attendance, class performance, demographic data, and link to Schoology. It provides an additional conduit for communication with your child's school. Customized for Elementary, Middle, and High School students, your SIS ParentVUE Account login credentials can also be used to access Schoology, our learning management system.

If you haven’t already done so, please set up a ParentVUE account by submitting an IT ticket here, or email KGNotes@fcps.edu for an activation letter.

Parent Digital Consent

Don't forget to sign!

This form is used to agree (consent) or disagree (refusal) for your student(s) to use the FCPS-approved online tools listed on the school website as part of the instructional program.

  • Your SIS ParentVUE username  (this is an email address)
  • Your SIS ParentVUE password.
