Good morning Island Creek Families, 

We are thrilled to welcome each of you to the 2023-2024 School Year at Island Creek! Our schoolwide teams meet this summer for planining reaffirming how deeply committed the Island Creek Staff is to every student, every day, and doing whatever it takes to ensure each student is successul throughout the school day.

Our schoowldie committtess that met this summer inlclude: Compass Team; Mutli-Tiered Systems of Support; Equity and Family Enagagement; and Social Emotional Learning and Positive Behavior Apporach.  Throughout the school year, we will be sharing updates on the important work they undergo keeping students at the center of our collective "why".          

Mrs. Baxter and I have enjoyed meeting and reconnecting with many Island Creek families and students at our Popsicles on the Playground events! This morning we have another posicle event with our rising Kindergarten students and families. Additionally, we are looking forward to our "Chat and Chew" at 11:30 today with our Sixth Grade students.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Croc families and child(ren) back to school!

Birthday Treats - edbile treats for birthdays are not allowed in school.

No Dogs on School Grounds - with the exception of service animals, dogs are not allowed on FCPS school grounds, playgrounds, or sport fields.

Driver's License- to enter the building you must have a valid driver's license 

Food Delivery - we do not accept food deliveries. FCPS Food Services provides breakfast and lunch daily and has a grant that provides free or reduced-price meals for students who qualify.


Sign Up for SIS ParentVue

Access your student’s attendance records, grades, and assignments at any time with SIS ParentVUE. Caregivers should receive an activation code when they register their child. 

Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. Access SIS ParentVUE by using an app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android devices.

🍎 Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications Available

According to the Centers for Disease Control, eating breakfast at school is associated with better attendance rates, fewer missed school days, and better test scores. Students who qualify for free and reduced-price meals receive breakfast and lunch at school at no cost. 

Families in FCPS that are earning less than 185% of the poverty level can receive meals for their students at no cost. Families should complete the application before the start of each school year. Approved applications may also qualify students for additional benefits.
