Dranesville CARES

As a Dranesville family, we value connection, access, relationships, excellence, and stakeholder engagement. We strive to create opportunities for students, families, and staff to connect to strengthen the learning community that supports all of our students. We look forward to connecting with you during these upcoming events.

Family Resource Night, August 16th, is an opportunity to support families in accessing resources available throughout the school year.

Our third annual Family Resource Night is an opportunity to connect with each other and to get connected with resources to support your child and your family as we begin the 2023-2024 school year.

During this event, backpacks and school supplies will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Staff will be available to support families in submitting the Free and Reduced Meal application for the 2023-2024 school year.

Families will also have the opportunity to sign up for additional supports including: Weekend Backpack Meals, Thanksgiving Meal Baskets, and Angel Tree Holiday Gifts.

The following community organizations will be present at our Family Resource Night: Opportunity Neighborhoods Herndon, Neighborhood School Readiness Project, Child Care Assistance and Referral Program, Girl Scouts, and Northwest Federal Credit Union.

Last but not least, we hope that you will stop by to connect with our Family Liaison, Paulina Hidalgo and join our PTA

Together, we will partner to make this an excellent year for all of our students and our Dranesville community!
