Dear Spring Hill Families,
I hope you all are having a safe and wonderful summer. I am thrilled and excited to be the new principal of Spring Hill Elementary School! As you may or may not know, Spring Hill has been a second home to me ever since I became a student as a kindergartener. I was a student teacher, classroom teacher, technology specialist, parent and assistant principal at Spring Hill. I am honored to be principal of the school that has always made me feel safe and has given me a true sense of belonging. My goal will be to ensure that every student and family feels the same way. This is going to be an amazing year!

As we finish up the 2022-23 school year, the most important thing you can do for your brain this summer is to KEEP READING! All Panthers are encouraged to fill out their Summer Reading “Shelfies” with anything they read this summer. All students and staff who hand one in will receive a prize in the fall! Please see the Spring Hill Summer Reading Website for more information on the shelfie, other summer reading programs (including the Fairfax County Public Library one that could earn you 2 free Nationals tickets), book lists, e-books, and other fun things to do. Students will need to be logged into their fcpsschools.net account to access the website. Hard copies of the “Shelfie” will be distributed next week. However, here is a link for your convenience (you must be sigend into your FCPS google account), We look forward to hearing about everything you read over the summer! Mrs. DeVylder
Tutor.com continues to be available to all students, at no cost, to continue summer learning. Visit the Summer Access Tutor.com webpage for more information on how to access the online service throughout the summer.
Students will continue to have access to the many programs available on the Spring Hill Student Links/Digital Resources page over the summer, including Reflex Math. Please be aware of times where intermittent interruptions may occur for updates and maintenance. In addition, student access to many of our FCPS programs will continue to be available over the summer. These include MyOn, and PebbleGo, as well as Clever programs such as Wixie, and ST Math. Students may make use of their fcpsschools.net Google accounts, including any content saved in their Google Drive as long as they remain a student in FCPS.
We highly encourage that you use Reflex Math routinely over the summer. This will help your student keep up their numeracy skills.
