 It was a pleasure to welcome our ambassador teachers from Jamaica and the Philippines today from Participate Learning that is partnering with FCPS. We greeted our teachers with a wonderful lunch and great conversations. We are so excited to bring these members on our team to learn from each other and collaborate! First Day of School - Aug 21
Monday, August 21, is the first day of school for the 2023-24 school year. See the complete school year calendar. FCPS parents, students, and staff members are invited to share their favorite pictures or videos from the first day of school on social media using the hashtag #FirstDayFairfax. We will share some of the photos on the FCPS Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram pages.

Looking for Substitutes
We are always looking for kind and caring substitute teachers and substitute instructional assistants to ensure our students continue to thrive when teachers and instructional assistants need to be out of the classroom. Substitute teaching is a great opportunity for future teachers, stay-at-home family members, retirees, college students, part-time employees, and anyone who wants to make a difference! Substitute instructional assistant pay will be $17.08 per hour and substitute teacher pay will be $19.05 per hour for the 2023-24 school year.
