Bren Mar Park is seeking adults who enjoy helping children learn in the classroom! We are hiring for the instructional assistant and student monitor positions.
Instructional Assistant is a contracted position that includes benefits. IAs work on some teacher workdays and have many of the student holidays off. The responsibilities include following a schedule to teach and work with small groups and whole classes of children. Interested? Submit your resume here.
Student monitors is an hourly position. Student monitors work when students are in the building from 8:45 - 4:15 p.m. Students monitors have all holidays and teacher workdays off. Monday, August 21 is the first day of school! Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Dismissal begins at 4:00 p.m. We hope to see every child with us on Day 1!

Online Registration is now available for families to apply for students entering Kindergarten through grade 12 for the 2023-2024 school year.

- Rising kindergarten students that were enrolled in one of our FCPS preschool programs last school year, please contact the registrar at the school the student will attend kindergarten for the upcoming school year. School information can be found on the Schools and Centers page.

Bren Mar Park is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability or age, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be served in the school cafeteria and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. The Summer Food Service Program will be closed on July 3rd and July 4th.
FCPS offers no-cost breakfast and lunch to all children 18 years of age and younger. There is no registration involved and everyone is welcome! Meals must be consumed at the school. It's also a great time to connect with others.
- Breakfast will be served between 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
- Lunch will be served between 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

The Bren Mar Park front office hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays, during the summer months. The front office is closed on holidays, including Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day.
Those who ordered school supply kits from the PTA fundraiser will have kits delivered to the classroom in time for Open House, which will be Friday, August 18th.
For those who did not order the kits, school supply lists are available for the 2023-24 school year on the Bren Mar Park website.
 Be ready for the first day of school with required immunizations and physicals!
