Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!!
It’s hard to believe that summer vacation is ending and school will be back in session next week! The first day of the 2023-2024 school year is Monday, August 21, 2023.
Our administrators have been hard at work hiring staff, preparing professional development and supporting our custodians to ensure the building is ready for students. Our teachers returned this week and are busy setting up classrooms and developing lesson plans. Our bus drivers are checking their vehicles and practicing their routes. In short, FCPS staff is busy!!
Now, it’s your turn to visit schools during Open House to meet teachers and tour the buildings. Parents and guardians will also have an opportunity to discuss the instructional programs, hear about classroom expectations and meet other staff during Back-to-School Night events. You will find a schedule of these events for the Mason District below.
Enjoy the last few days of summer break - we are looking forward to a productive school year!

Please be sure to check your school's website and watch for emails for any schedule changes or additional information. If you have specific questions, please contact the school directly.
