Want to cross something off of your August to-do list right now? Check out our 2023-2024 School Supply Lists, which are updated for next school year, and have one thing less to worry about at back to school time!
You can also avoid the hassle of going in person by ordering supply kits online.
Order online by July 15 to ensure that everything makes it to Floris in time!

Who: Parent and Students
What: Open House- a time to tour the building, see your classroom, bring your school supplies, meet the teachers and help everyone prepare for a fabulous first day of school.
When: Thursday, August 17

9:00-9:45am: Grades 1-6, Last Names Starting with A-K

10:15-10:45am: Kindergarten Students

11:00-11:45am: Grades 1-6, Last Names Starting with L-Z
Where: Everyone will enter through the Main Entrance (Door 1) and exit from the cafeteria (Door 6) to assist with traffic flow.
Why are the times split? Parking is very limited here at Floris. We ask that you please stay within these times so all families are able to find parking.
Summer Reading Adventure- Fairfax County Public Library
The Fairfax County Public Library Summer Reading Adventure runs from June 16-August 18 this summer.

The Fairfax County Public Library has tons of print, audio, and Ebook options. Go to the website on your computer or download the Libby by Overdrive app on your tablet or phone.

MyOn has many books at a variety of levels, including many chapter books.
- Students log in with their FCPS username and password.

Tumblebooks has a variety of levels, including many chapter books.
- After signing in, click on the ebook tab for chapter bookss.

November 3: End of First Quarter and Two-Hour Early Release
November 6-7: No School for Students, Teacher Workdays and Election Day
