Dear Raven Families and Caregivers,

We hope that you are having a great start to your summer!  We would like to thank our PE Department for supporting our end of the year events to include field day! We also want to thank our PTSA and teacher and parent volunteers for supporting our end of the year 8th grade dance.

This message will be our final communication for the 2022-2023 school year.  There will be periodic updates throughout the summer and you are always welcome to contact our main office if there is anything we can do to support your student or your family.

Here are a few Save the Dates for the summer and upcoming school year:

  • Jump Start Program (Rising 6th grade students) August 8-9 from 8am-1pm
  • Student schedules will be available in SIS StudentVue and ParentVue on the morning of August 17th
  • We will host an Open House on the afternoon of August 16th. Students and families will have an opportunity to pick up student schedules and visit classrooms and meet their new teachers.
  • New student orientation will be hosted on August 18th
  • The first day of school is on August 21st.

VIP CAMP

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR VIP CAMP JACKSON

  • Across FCPS, the fee for VIP Camp was increased to $100 this year. If cost is going to be an issue, please reach out to your school’s after school program specialist.  We have some scholarships available on a case by case basis.
  • Transportation, breakfast, lunch, and a daily snack are included!
  • Field trip details are still being finalized, and that information will be shared at the parent meeting.  Field trip fees are in addition to the regular camp fee, and depend on the transportation costs and any tickets that need to be purchased.  On the day of a field trip, all camp staff will be on the trip, so if your student does not want to attend, you’ll need to make other arrangements for them for the day.  No staff will be left at the camp site.
  • Please read the digital application carefully.  In the last section, we ask you for a “digital signature” saying you have read and understand all of the policies and regulations for this summer program!
  • We won’t have a bus schedule available until we send a roster of students to transportation/routing.  Once that happens, we will share all of the stops and pickup/drop-off times with parents of registered students.

If you have any other questions, please reach out to your school’s After School Program Specialist:
