 Tomorrow begins the last week of the year and look forward to many celebrations before our students head off on summer break. We anticipate many guests in our building and classrooms this week. Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for parking and checking in with your ID in the lobby. If you are joining us this week and have checked in using the ScholarChip system during this school year, save time by registering in advance for your visit using this link.
Friday is the last day of school, and all FCPS schools dismiss early. Lemon Road will dismiss at 12:55 PM, and our front office will close at 1:30 so that all staff can attend our year-end celebration.

 Each grade level will have a half day Field Day Tuesday run by staff and volunteers. This is one of our favorite days of the year, but we need your help to ensure all students are prepared for the day! Remember to pack your child's lunch unless you pre-ordered a bagged lunch from the cafeteria.
Please have your child:
- wear a bathing suit or clothing that can get wet
- bring a hat
- wear closed toed sneakers that can get wet
- bring a full water bottle (students may refill throughout)
- K - 3 students apply sunscreen at home; 4-6 grade students may bring to apply for their afternoon
- bring a complete change of clothes packed in a separate plastic bag within their backpack including socks & shoes

 Parents of ALL rising 4th, 5th and 6th grade students should submit the form below to indicate your child's participation in Band or Strings for 2023-2024. The form should be submitted even if your child will not be participating in Band or Strings. Please fill out this form no later than June 14, 2023.

Keep in touch over the summer! A great way to keep up to date with PTA planning and activities is to follow us on social media.
Lions can stay connected and engaged with the Lemon Road Summer Activity Board. Students can complete and mark off as many activities as they can and return the board to their classroom teacher by Monday, August 28, 2023. Paper copies of the board were in last week's Wednesday folder. Digital copies of the board can be found on Schoology and should be “Shared” with Ms. Burke at goburke@fcps.edu. All participants will be entered into grade-level drawings and will be recognized on the morning news. We hope all Lions will participate!
