Message from Our Clinic
Medications Must Be Picked Up By a Parent/Guardian by June 16th
The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student.
If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program, but you will need to pick up the medication on the last day of school and deliver the medication and completed forms to the summer learning site on the first day of the summer program. Please contact our health room staff at 703-326-5210 if you would like a copy of the form(s).

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care.
We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees, specifically at Dranesville.

Congratulations, Mrs. Butler, for being recognized
as an employee who shows that FCPS Cares.
Our daughter started at Dranesville right after winter break. We were a little nervous about her starting halfway through the year, but all the nerves melted away when she met her new teacher, Mrs. Butler! She (and her students) received our daughter with open arms and made her feel so welcomed. Our first impressions of Mrs. Butler being a caring person were not wrong. It takes more than that to be an amazing teacher, and that she is! She teaches the kids and always making it fun! She also keeps us parents informed about what's going on in the classroom, and makes herself available for us, which we so appreciate. We would like to recognize Mrs. Butler for ALWAYS going above and beyond, and show showing how much she cares!
