Eid al-Adha on June 28 and 29
 |
|
Eid Mubarak to all who observe this holiday! Eid al-Adha, or the “Feast of Sacrifice,” is the second of two main holidays celebrated in Islam. Eid al-Adha signifies the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim, known as Abraham in Christianity and Judaism, to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as ordered by Allah. It focuses on sacrifice, the pilgrimage to Mecca and giving to those less fortunate. Learn more in this video from PBS Kids. |

Parenting in a digital age
Parenting in the digital age can present both opportunities and challenges. On one hand, technology and the internet provide access to vast amounts of information and resources, making it easier for parents to support their children's education and well-being. On the other hand, the constantly connected nature of digital devices can also raise concerns about screen time, cyberbullying, and exposure to inappropriate content. Balancing the benefits and risks of technology use is an ongoing challenge for many parents in the digital age, here are some video resources that may help: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8TjVyuBdsClBs2Obs6Wfr5FxLyDeH-k-
Enable Talking Points Notifications
We want to ensure that you stay connected and informed about important updates and messages from our school. To receive timely notifications from Talking Points, it is crucial to enable notifications on your device. Without this feature, you might miss out on important information unless you are actively using the app.
Enabling notifications is a simple process, and here are step-by-step directions to guide you through it:
1. Open the Talking Points app on your device.
2. Navigate to the settings menu within the app. You can usually find it by tapping on the three horizontal lines or the gear icon.
3. Look for the "Notifications" or "Notification Settings" option and tap on it.
4. Ensure that the toggle switch for notifications is turned on or set to "Allow."
5. If prompted, grant the necessary permissions for the app to send notifications.
6. Additionally, you can customize your notification preferences by selecting the types of messages or events you wish to receive alerts for.
By enabling notifications, you'll receive timely updates, announcements, and messages directly to your device, ensuring you stay informed and engaged with your child's education.
Thank you for taking the time to check and enable notifications on Talking Points. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to Mr. Newbold, at mcnewbold@fcps.edu, with any questions.
Best regards,
Clearview Tech Team
