Dear Lake Anne Families,
Great news...Field Day is back on! Due to the weather advisories this week we had to cancel our original date for Field Day. We wanted to make sure that students still had a chance to experience this yearly tradition so our wonderful PE teachers worked to create a modified version of Field Day that will take place on Friday, June 16. We want to thank all of the volunteers who signed up, took time off from work, and adjusted your schedules to be with us on our original date. Due to the modified version of the day, we will be able to support field day with our Lake Anne staff members so we do not need additional volunteers at this time. Again, thank you for your flexibility and for the many parents who reached out to see how they could help! We are excited for a fun Field Day and Last Day all rolled into one!
Additionally, grade levels are having EOY parties next week. Please be on the lookout from child's teacher about the specific dates and details of grade level parties. We realize that families may also want to come in during the last week to volunteer or each lunch with their child. If you are eating lunch with your child in the cafeteria, please be mindful of the following:
- Check in at the Front Office
- Please do not take pictures of children (other than your own) to respect all families privacy
- Unless it is for the class party, please do not bring in treats for the cafeteria. We want to continue to be mindful of student allergies and dietary preferences/restrictions

Students in FCPS meet with tutors thousands of times each week to practice reading, prepare for an upcoming math test, write computer programs, study for the SAT, or to get feedback on scholarship essays–all at no cost to their families!
