RCMS Mural News- Here's The Latest!
The 25th Anniversary Mural is moving along. Walk by and see the progress!!!!! We will be working on it today and tomorrow. Team JJ and CC have been dedicated to the painting and have received a lot of help to make sure it is getting painted. Thank you to the Parents/Guardians who have help in this endeavor.Since this is after the formal after-school program for the 2022-2023 school year, as a reminder, ALL STUDENTS will need RIDES home from Parent/Guardian or Caregiver.

On June 15 at 5:30pm the party will begin at RCMS and 3 hours later, in a blink of the eye, it will be over but will be so worth it! DON'T MISS THIS ONE!

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: Optional pre-checkin : If your student would like to avoid the lines and the crowds getting into the party, the PTA will offer pre-checkin at lunch time on June 15. Students will need to bring in their confirmation e-mail that was received from the purchase of the 8th grade party ticket. The student will then have their wristband put on them for entry to the party and will be marked as checked in. On that day there will be activities during the school day, so again this is option. The student will then just have to show their wristband for entry into the party and can skip the check in.

RCMS PTA Officer Elections
It is that time of the year when our Rachel Carson Middle School PTA needs our community to serve on the RCMS PTA Board for the school year 2023-24. It is a one year term and incumbents can extend to stay in office for one more year. The following roles are to be filled urgently for the PTA to remain functional:

President- Preside over all meetings of this local PTA/PTSA and coordinate the work of the officers and committees of the PTA/PTSA-need candidates

Treasurer- Handles and oversight of all funds and finances for the local PTA & PTSA, keep full financial records to include an accurate account of receipts and expenditures as directed in the bylaws. Make disbursements as authorized by the president, executive board or general membership in accordance with the budget adopted by the general membership.-need candidates

Secretary- Record the minutes of all meetings of the local PTA/PTSA and perform other duties as assigned.- need candidates

Vice President - Fundraising Act as an aide to the president leading and managing fundraising and corporate sponsorship activities and performing other delegated duties as assigned.

Vice President - Hospitality and Events Act as an aide to the president leading and managing all hospitality and events such as Staff Appreciation, 8th grade party etc. and perform other delegated duties as assigned.- need candidates

Vice President - Membership Act as an aide to the president leading and managing member recruitment. and perform other delegated duties as assigned.-need candidates

Vice President - Social Media and Communications Act as an aide to the president leading and managing all communications like News You Choose reporting and social media; perform other delegated duties as assigned.-need candidates

Chair - Volunteers Leads and managing all volunteer recruitment and support, including student service hour management-need candidates
- Chair - Webmaster -Leads and manages PTA website
- Chair - Fundraising - Assists the VP of fundraising in managing specific fund raising events- need candidates
- Finance Secretary - Assists Treasurer with the deposits management and bookkeeping-need candidates
We request your active participation in getting our new board situated before the end of the current school year. Our next board meeting and election day is June 8, 2023 where all nominations will be voted by the PTA general body. Calling all Rising 9th Westfield Parents!
Westfield High School PTA urgently needs volunteers to serve on the Westfield PTSA Board (President, VP of communication, VP of Programs, Treasurer, and Secretary) for the school year 2023-24.
