Dear Island Creek Community,
We hope you and your family are enjoying a wonderful 3-day weekend as we gear up for the last 3 weeks of school. As we reflect on Memorial Day, we would like to take a moment to remember and honor those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
Our Read-A-Thon is underway through Wednesday, May 31. Please encourage your child to read at home and/or read to them. Students should return their Reading Log, Pledge Sheets, and any collected donations to school on Thursday, June 1 or Friday, June 2. Donations may be made via MySchoolBucks, check, or cash.
This Friday is Field Day! Field Day t-shirts that were ordered will be delivered to classrooms on Friday morning. The weather forecast for Friday is sunny and hot, and we encouarge all students to bring a plastic water bottle (with their name) and students may want to wear a hat. If needed, sunscreen and bug spray should be applied prior to coming to school. Since there will be multiple water activities, students should bring a change of clothes.
We are in need of additional Field Day Volunteers, please use the following sign-up link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4EABA623A0FB6-field
Warm Regards,
Jen Fallert and Karen Baxter
