 LCES Family Fun
We are thrilled to share the tremendous success of our LCES Family Picnic held Thursday evening! The weather was perfect as we hosted well over 600 of our school community members! It was an incredible evening filed with such fun and excitement. The picnic was a true celebration of our thriving school community, bringing together families, staff, and students. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our entire LCES community who made this event a resounding success!

SOL Testing Calendar
All grade levels have now taken the required SOL tests and we are about to wrap up SOL testing for the 22-23 school year. The students and staff have worked hard to prepare so students can show how much they know and have learned this year!
Next week, we will administer the final expedited retakes for students who qualify to retake a test.
Test results will be available in SIS ParentVue at the end of the school year.

Cool Spirit Night
We are SUPER excited to hold one last Spirit Night before the end of the year to boost our school spirit before the summer break. Join us and your friends at Bruster's Ice Cream on Thursday, June 1st from 5-8 PM.

Lees Corner Elementary supply kits will be available to purchase online from May 24th– June 16th.
You can order your kit from The Write Stuff and it will be delivered right to school in time for the Open House before school starts. How convenient!

Health Room News: End of Year Student Medication Pickup
PARENTS ONLY must pick-up all medications no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday June 16.
- Medications may also be picked up prior to June 16 during health room hours: 8:45 am – 3:30 pm.
- Medication left in the Health Room after 2:00 p.m. on June 16 cannot be saved and will be discarded according to FCPS and FCHD policy.
- REMINDER: New medication authorization forms are required for each new school year. Forms at: https://www.fcps.edu/registration/forms

Become a Scout!
If your child is interested in becoming a scout, you can join pack 1601 right here at Lees Corner. To learn more, see the attached flyer and join the scouts for their SPRING CAMPOUT. Stay overnight or come on Saturday June 3rd for
daytime activities and fun campfire with skits, songs and smores!
Is Your Student Leaving FCPS?
When you leave FCPS, your FCPS Google Workspace account will be automatically deactivated. Once your account is deactivated, you will not be able to login to your FCPS Google account or access any files you have saved in Google Drive.
It is important that you download any files you wish to keep before your last day of school. Instructions for downloading your Google data are on the Google Workspace Information for Students and Parents page of the FCPS website.
You may also have work stored in other places - for example, designs created in Canva, graphic organizers created in Lucidchart, flashcards created in Pear Deck or another formative assessment tool used at your school. Most of these allow you to download your work in another format.
Your access to instructional technology tools that use “Sign in with Google” will end when your FCPS Google Workspace account is deactivated.
You can check which apps and services use “Sign in with Google” in your FCPS Google Workspace account.
- Go to Manage your Google Account
- Select Security.
- Under “Signing in to other sites,” select Signing in with Google.
- Under “Signing in with Google” is a list of third-party apps or services where you use Sign in with Google.
You should download any files you wish to keep from these systems as well.
