Message from Ms. Kearns

I enjoyed the opportunity to share my vision for Bruin Nation at this week's PTSA general membership meeting. I look forward to continuing the collaboration with the PTSA, and other parent groups, as we move ahead.

Our Seniors start their end-of-year activities next Tuesday. It is hard to believe graduation is near. We will miss having them fill the halls and we look forward to celebrating them.

I wish everyone a wonderful Memorial Day holiday.

Go Bruins!
Lindsey Kearns

Update From the Library

It’s that time of year for students to return to the school library any Lake Braddock library books they still have checked out from this school year.

A labeled return cart stands outside the library, as well as a return bin immediately inside the library door.  If a book cannot be found, please report to a librarian.  There are no fines or fees – we just want to round up our books at the end of the school year to put back on our library shelves!

Any questions, please contact the library staff at lbsslibrary@fcps.edu.

Family Liaison Survey

Families,  thank you for those who already completed the Family Liaison Survey, if you haven’t done it, please take a moment to complete this brief survey, we will use your feedback to plan events that more closely fit your interests.

Here is the survey:

Student Test Results Coming Soon

A list of tests by grade level is available. Scores will be delivered in SIS ParentVUE, by mail, or from the school or testing organization. Learn what to expect regarding assessment reporting practices and timelines

Some families will also receive a Virginia’s Visualization and Analytics Solution (VVAAS) Student Assessment Summary report with historical Standards of Learning (SOL) test results from 2015-2022.

Go online or contact your student's school for additional information about student assessments
