We have had an amazing staff that support our students and families in many ways. Some of our Falcon staff members are soaring on to new adventures next year. We will be saying goodbye to the following members of our team:
- MaryAnn Barry- moving to an FCPS high school position
- Merika Emery- moving out of the area
- Bennett Rogers-moving out of the area
- Erin Assaf-moving to another FCPS elementary school
- Alexandra Milfeit is moving to an FCPS middle school position
- Jessica Wheaton is moving to an FCPS high school position
- Ila Padheriya is moving to another FCPS elementary school
We appreciate the contributions they have made to the Fairview community and wish them the best of luck in their new adventures!
We hope that you are enjoying this beautiful weekend. As we reflect on Memorial Day, we would like to take a moment to remember and honor those who have served and sacrificed for our country. Please note that there will be no school on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. We look forward to a fantastic last 3 weeks of school!
Sincerely,

Student Testing Results Coming Soon
Starting in late May, caregivers will receive reports for assessments their students completed this spring. Not sure what assessments your student took this year? A list of tests by grade level is available. Scores will be delivered in SIS ParentVUE, by mail, or from the school or testing organization. Learn what to expect regarding assessment reporting practices and timelines.
Some families will also receive a Virginia’s Visualization and Analytics Solution (VVAAS) Student Assessment Summary report with historical Standards of Learning (SOL) test results from 2015-2022.
Go online or contact your student's school for additional information about student assessments.
How to Support Your Child’s Success
If you do not already have a SIS ParentVUE account, sign up now to monitor and support your child’s academic success! Through ParentVUE, you are able to view your student’s attendance, grades, and assignments at any time. You can also access special reports for your student like progress reports and assessment score reports.
Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. Access SIS ParentVUE by using an app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android devices.

School Supplies for 2023-24
It's that time of year again! The PTA is partnering with EPI for grade level supply kits for purchase starting now through June 25th. If you order now, there is a 10% discount! Reduce the stress of shopping for supplies by purchasing one of the kits and it will be waiting for your student in their classroom during Open House in August! Click here to get started.
It’s Kindergarten Registration Time!
Attending kindergarten provides children with an opportunity to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives. Fairfax County public schools typically conduct kindergarten registration events—including orientation—in the Spring during March or April. Eligible children can also be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps schools prepare and ensure they have the teachers and resources on hand that they need on the first day of school.
After determining which school their child will attend, families should prepare for registration by gathering documents and completing forms, details can be found on the FCPS kindergarten registration webpage. FCPS offers support and resources for all families to help with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For support in other languages, visit the kindergarten registration webpage.
