Principals' Message

Happy Friday CES Community,

This week the CES PTA held their last meeting of the year. With this we will see a change in the leadership. Over the last three year Michael Peter has been the PTA President. His leadership, collaboration, flexibility, and support have been irreplaceable. Mike helped us navigate COVID and distance learning, while working to keep our community connected. Thank you to Mike and his PTA Board (Cherry Ung, Laurence Bray, and Felicia Truong) for your dedication and services. As we move forward, we look forward to developing collaborative relationships with our new PTA Board.

Last night, was the annual Kindergarten Patriotic Performance. This is always a crowd favorite that is well attended, and last night did not disappoint. The students delivered an amazing performance, which brought smiles to all that attended. Thank you to our kindergarten team for making this event a huge success.

CES conducted the last two Field Days of the 2023-2024 school year this week. As always, the students had a blast working cooperatively to accomplish the fun tasks. Although, the water games were the big hit again! Speaking of fun games, we appreciate all of those who participated in Family Fitness 4 a Cause this year. We had a great year and look forward to growing this program next year. Today was our last Green Hour of Power of the year. The students have learned a great deal about our local environment and how to support it through sustainable actions through these fun hours.

Next Tuesday, CES will host a Family Literacy Night starting at 6:00pm. This evening is intended to provide families with ideas, practices, and activities to support literacy over the summer months. We will have staff from PreK all the way to 6th grade present and ready to share. It should be a wonderful evening, hope to see you there!

Have a positive weekend!

Rachel, Jen, & Josh

Proud Principals
