Floris Main Office Summer Hours
Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm
The Floris Main Office will be closed June 28- 30 for summer cleaning of the office area. Because we will need to work outside of the main office, please leave a voice message or email. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
All FCPS Offices and Schools are closed on Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4 for the Independence Day Holiday.

Want to cross something off of your August to-do list right now? Check out our 2023-2024 School Supply Lists, which are updated for next school year, and have one thing less to worry about at back to school time!
You can also avoid the hassle of going in person by ordering supply kits online.
Order online by July 15 to ensure that everything makes it to Floris in time!

Summer Reading Adventure- Fairfax County Public Library
The Fairfax County Public Library Summer Reading Adventure runs from June 16-August 18 this summer.

The Fairfax County Public Library has tons of print, audio, and Ebook options. Go to the website on your computer or download the Libby by Overdrive app on your tablet or phone.

MyOn has many books at a variety of levels, including many chapter books.
- Students log in with their FCPS username and password.

Tumblebooks has a variety of levels, including many chapter books.
- After signing in, click on the ebook tab for chapter bookss.

MackinVia is a collection of FCPS ebooks and audiobooks.

August 17: Open House in the morning, details to follow
August 21: 1st Day of School
September 1-4: Holiday- Labor Day Break – All FCPS schools and offices closed
September 25: Holiday, Yom Kippur- All FCPS schools and offices closed
October 9: No School for Students, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Teacher Workday
November 3: End of First Quarter and Two-Hour Early Release
November 6-7: No School for Students, Teacher Workdays and Election Day
