President's Message
Dear Fairfax Family,
With only a few weeks remaining in the school year, I’d like to thank all of you for contributing to an amazing year and congratulate the class of 2023 who will graduate next week! Wednesday, June 7 will be a student holiday for all FHS students to accommodate on-site graduation in our stadium (fingers crossed for gorgeous weather!). Over 300 students will safely celebrate their graduation all night at the St. James. Many thanks to Susan Malkus, Shelly Modes and the All Night Grad committee for planning and raising funds for an amazing event for our graduates!
School continues for the rest of us, culminating in exams June 12-15. Please be aware these are early release days, with students taking 2 exams per day. Each day after exams, students will have time to grab a bagged lunch before riding the bus home at noon.
For students not enrolled in summer school, FCPS laptops will be turned in after their final exam on Thursday, June 15th (Seniors should turn in laptops this Wednesday-Friday between 8:30am and 3:30 pm). The last day of school is June 16th from 8:10am-10:10am. Students who opt to come to school on June 16th will gather in the fieldhouse to say goodbye to teachers and friends, but attendance will not be taken.
I hope everyone enjoys these last few weeks of school and a relaxing summer. Celebrate all that we’ve accomplished with your student at graduation on June 7, the varsity recognition night on June 5th or our final PTSA meeting on June 13th. I look forward to celebrating with you then!

Seniors: Purchase Your ANG Tickets Now!
The Class of 2023 graduates Wednesday, June 7th! In keeping with the 30+ year FHS tradition, the grads are invited to safely celebrate together at the All Night Grad Event the night of graduation at The St. James Sport and Entertainment Center.
Purchase your student's ticket here: https://fairfaxhs.memberhub.com/store/items/499302 Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door. Students will pick up their ANG t-shirt after graduation rehearsal. The ANG t-shirt is their ticket into the event.
Tickets for All Night Grad (ANG) are $45 each, all inclusive of fun activities, DJ, food and prizes. Free & Reduced Lunch eligible students can get the discount ANG ticket order form in the main office.
Senior and Junior parents: We need all hands on deck! St. James requires parent volunteers to chaperone the event and you can experience the fun of our kids celebrating! Sign up here: ANG Volunteer SignUp.
Class of 2023 GRADUATION
JUNE 7, 9AM, RAIN OR SHINE
Stadium seating for outdoor event at FHS is unlimited.
In case of inclement weather, the community will be notified of a decision to move the event indoors one day in advance.
Seating for indoor graduation in the FHS Gym will be limited to 5 tickets per graduate.
Either way, the event will be live streamed.

PTSA Meeting
All parents are welcome Tuesday, June 13th at 7pm for the last PTSA meeting of the school year. Help us celebrate the ’23 graduating parent and student volunteers and vote on the officers and dues for next year.
The FHS PTSA Nominating Committee urgently needs a treasurer for the 2023-2024 school year. Our current treasurer is available to answer questions and assures us that the job only requires a couple of hours a month. If you are an FHS parent interested in serving as treasurer please contact the nominating committee:
