 Dear GBW Families!
We are excited about our upcoming spring concert at Rocky Run Middle School! Here are the major details for our May 23 concert:

Location: Rocky Run Middle School (4400 Stringfellow Road, Chantilly, VA 20151)

Concert Uniform: NEW green GBW Music t-shirt (will arrive mid-May & will be sent home with students through homeroom classes)

Concert Report Time: 6:00 PM
- Enter through Door #1
- Strings students should report to the cafeteria
- Band students should report to the hallway outside the library
- Chorus students should also report to the cafeteria

Concert Start Time: 6:30 PM

Parking: If you are able to park at GBW and walk over, please consider helping out the parking situation at RRMS!

 Field Day is Coming!
We are excited to announce we will be holding our Field Day Monday, June 5th 2023. We are looking for parents volunteers to help make this year’s field day special for our students.  Last Chance to Complete the Student Survey for Next Year
Though the beginning of the next school year may seem far away, we are already beginning our planning for classroom assignments. To assist in this process, each year we like to provide families the opportunity to share some information about your child by completing the Student Survey Form. Please note that we do not accept requests for a particular teacher. Your feedback will be shared with the entire committee (admin, supporting teachers, counselors, & specialists) when we collaboratively make our class placements. When our committee makes our class placements, we will use a complex set of data including academic needs, social / emotional / behavioral needs, teacher feedback, and will also include parent feedback from this form. Our promise to the community is that we will read and consider this feedback when making class placements so that we ensure all students are successful next year. Please complete this form no later Friday, May 19th, 2023. Any feedback received after this date will not be used in our class placement meetings.

Extra Class Pictures Available
We have a limited number of Lifetouch classroom pictures available for purchase. The cost to purchase a class picture is $10. Please email Sally Bippert to purchase one today!
 Next PTA Meeting is
June 1 at 6:30pm
Due to a conflict with another school event, the final PTA meeting of the year will be Thursday, June 1 at 6:30pm. It will be online only and the link will be sent closer to the event. At this meeting, elections for next year’s PTA Board members will take place, a summer interim budget will be proposed and voted on, and members of our audit team will be selected (for a required audit of our finances in July). Please don’t miss this important meeting!

Restaurant Night Save the Dates!
Dogfish Restaurant Night was a BIG success!
Thank you to everyone who supported restaurant night at Dogfish last Tuesday. The GBW PTA earned $700 from the event!!
Sweetfrog Fundraiser is June 8
Our last restaurant night of the year is June 8 at Sweetfrog! 25% of sales from open until close will be given back to GBW PTA! Make sure to mention GBW when you pay.
Yearbook Sales
You can still order a yearbook online! You will now have to pay for shipping, but orders should arrive to the school before the end of the school year. Please visit the link to purchase online. Please note that yearbooks will NOT be sold in person at school. They must be ordered through the website.
