We are looking to gage interest in parent/community member volunteer opportunities for the 2023-24 school year. Please submit this form if you would be willing to visit a Franklin Sherman classroom(s) next school year as an instructional volunteer. Volunteers would not be responsible for planning activities, but could, for example, supervise/facilitate teacher prepared activities often with small groups as part of the station rotation learning structure we use at FSES.
Based on responses to this survey we will distribute follow up information in the coming months and invite volunteers for information training at the start of the school year.

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school. Medication left in the health room after that time will be discarded. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student.

Internet Content Filtering and Usage Reports for Parents
Did you know? There is an online service that is free to FCPS parents who are interested in knowing more about their child’s internet activity on an FCPS device. Parents can sign up to receive a weekly Parent Report from Lightspeed, our internet content filtering service, which will provide a list of the top sites the child visited that week.
Additionally, if parents wish to get more detailed information, the weekly Parent Report offers parents the ability to self-sign-up to the free Internet Use Parent Portal. Parents who sign up for the Internet Use Parent Portal can log-in any time to see a little more detail about their child’s internet browsing. The portal also offers the parent added ability to “pause” access to the internet during non-school hours on the FCPS device.
Learn more about this and other Digital Citizenship and Safety topics on the FCPS website.
