 McNair Elementary Staff Says Thank You
Our school community is very fortunate to have so many dedicated and caring students and families who support our staff each and every day. During Staff Appreciation Week, our McNair community really showed us how important and appreciated we are. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast from Anitas, a fancy parfait bar with sparkling soda, and finished the week with Kona Ice! Our PTA even took the time to purchase gift cards for all to ensure our staff members could enjoy a nice treat from Starbucks in or out of school. Students also joined in the fun by bringing in flowers, drawing pictures, and sharing other expressions of care for our staff. Such a special week!
Please know that we are so very thankful to work and partner with the McNair Elementary Community. Thanks to the PTA and all the parents who support the efforts of staff each day. You are truly the best!
McNair ES Field Day was a HIT!
 Wow! Who said the '80s have passed us by? McNair Elementary celebrated Field Day on Thurday in true 1980s style. It was a beautiful day of fun, games, and neon! Thanks to our physical education teachers, Ms. Findley and Mr. White, for leading the charge on this awesome day!
Kindergarten Orientation is on June 7
McNair’s Kindergarten Orientation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Come and meet the staff, learn more about kindergarten in FCPS and at McNair Elementary, and enjoy meeting families of other rising kindergarten students.

Now is the time to register! There’s an easy to follow five step process outlined for parents registering their children for kindergarten.
BINGO is BACK!
On Friday, June 2, we are welcoming families back to school to enjoy a fun night of BINGO. You will participate in 10 games with a chance of winning amazing prizes! Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and play starts at 6:30 p.m.
Next week, parents have an opportunity pre-order pizza and BINGO cards for the big event.

$3 for Individual BINGO Play (1 pack of 10 games)

$10 for Family BINGO Play (4 packs of cards with 10 games each)
The pizza/bingo card pre-order form will be sent home in next Tuesday's Take Home Tuesday folder. Parents who want to get an early start can download the form, print and send in the money (exact cash only) to their child's classroom teacher. The pizza will be ready for pick-up when the doors open on BINGO Night.
BINGO cards and water will be available for purchase at the event.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated in the first full week of May, from May 8 through May 12, 2023, and is when the teachers and the staff get the extra credit they deserve. Thanks to all the volunteers and donors! PTA and McNair community was able to honor our Teachers and Staff by sponsoring various events ang gifts this year.

McNair Movie Night (Free Event)
Catch a movie under the stars on May 19th at McNair Free Movie Night. When: May 19th, Entry at 7 PM Where: McNair ES Soccer Field Movie Start Time: After sunset Food: There will be Pizza, Snacks and Drinks available for sale. (CASH ONLY) Lawn chairs, blankets, sleeping bags and picnic baskets are permitted.
PTA General Meeting (attend In-person or Virtually)
Agenda: Programs and Competitions, Clubs, Principal Updates, Parent's QA Session. We will be celebrating the accomplishments of our kids in the American Computer Science League(ACSL). A light snack will be served.
Note: Child care will be provided by PTA Volunteers during the meeting.
