Individual Photos and Class Pictures
Individual School Photos will be sent home in your student’s Take Home Envelope this Friday. Review the portraits. Keep the sheets you wish to purchase and return the unpurchased sheets back to school.
Class Pictures are $10. Pre orders for Class Photos were due by Picture Day, however there is still time. If you would like to order a Class Picture now, send the order form back to the office. You can also order on-line directly from Strawbridge at Strawbridge.net, using our school code FM397783.

Meet Me at the Library May 23rd 5-6pm
It’s time for our final, fun-filled evening of the Meet Me at the Library program. This is a great opportunity for families to listen to stories, play some games, and do a craft to promote literacy and math skills. On Tuesday, May 23rd, families are invited to the Kings Park Public Library (9000 Burke Lake Rd, Burke, VA 22015) at 5:00 PM for an hour-long session focusing on Early Math Skills with some amazing Kings Park teachers and staff. This is a free event for Kings Park students. Every student that attends will receive a free book from WETA. We hope to see you in the Community Meeting Room at the Kings Park Public Library on Wednesday, May 23rd at 5:00!

FCPS CARES
The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for families, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees at Kings Park Elementary. We love our staff members; let's tell them how we feel!
KP/KG PTA News
The Annual KP/KG PTA Sponsored Staff Kickball Game is coming up this FRIDAY May 19th at 6:30 pm at Kings Glen. Food trucks will be available - bring your blanket and chair and cheer on your school! Students must be under the supervision of a responsible adult.
Our last nature program of the school year is coming up THIS SATURDAY May 20th. We hope you’ll join us at Lake Accotink for a fishing program run by FLAP. Register here by Wednesday, May 17.
We hope you’ll come to Kings Glen on June 2nd at 6:30 pm for the PTA End of Year Celebration. Reach out to events@kpkgpta.org if you’re interested in volunteering. Neighborhood pools and summer camps are welcome to advertise at this event - please reach out to events@kpkgpta.org for more information.
The PTA is once again offering school supply kits for the upcoming school year. We have partnered with EPI like in years past - go to www.educationalproducts.com/shoppacks and enter KIN936 for Kings Park and KIN170 for Kings Glen. The kits will be delivered straight to the schools before the first day of school! Please contact supplykits@kpkgpta.org with questions.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 25th at 7pm in Braddock Hall (9002 Burke Lake Rd, Burke, VA 22015, USA) for our final PTA General Membership Meeting. We will be electing the officers for next school year, voting on a membership dues increase, and recognizing all our volunteers and wonderful community with light refreshments.
Are you looking to say thank you to a teacher or staff member for a wonderful school year? All Kings Park and Kings Glen staff have been given the option to fill out a “Staff Tastes & Tidbits” form with information such as favorite stores and restaurants, classroom needs/wants, favorite authors and more.
