Annandale Seniors and Families:
Next week is your final week of classes and marks the beginning of senior final exams! Below is the senior final exam schedule. As a reminder, it is FCPS policy that all students are expected to participate in a final exam for every course. A student whose absence from the final examination or activity is unexcused could receive an F for that examination.
Each day, seniors should report to school at 8:10am, and attend their regularly scheduled classes. Seniors are dismissed from school after their last exam for the day. Here is a summary of the schedule:
- Monday, May 22: 8:10am-2:55pm
- Tuesday, May 23: 8:10am-2:55pm
- Wednesday, May 24: 8:10am-1:22pm
- Thursday, May 25: 8:10am-9:35am
- Friday, May 26: 8:10am-9:35am
Immediately following the R1 exam on Friday, seniors will be released from their last day of school at 9:35am. Members of the Class of 2023 will gather in the Senior parking lot or Ossian Park to enjoy a light breakfast, and sign yearbooks. The event will end at 11:30am.
Below are more important dates with descriptions of each event. To stay up to date on information about graduation and other senior events, check out the “Senior Page” on the AHS Student Portal for the latest information on senior activities and graduation. Note: You must be signed in to your FCPS Google account to access the Student Portal. In addition, we have also posted this information on the school website for your parents to access.

Pay Senior Dues - $50: Senior dues, which cover cap and gown, diploma covers, and the senior gift, are $50. Please log on to myschoolbucks.com to pay your senior dues by May 20. Here are instructions for students on how to access MySchoolBucks.com. If you have any questions, please email Jeremy DeBoe.
NOTE: Students who have not paid their Senior Dues will not be permited to purchase prom tickets.
Complete Mandatory Senior Survey: Each year, every senior is required to complete the Senior Survey. This is how Student Services celebrates the decisions of our graduates and ensures we have information on where to send final transcripts. If you were absent from your senior English class on May 1or 2 to fill out your Senior Survey, please set up an appointment to meet with your counselor or Mr. Yeagley. Mr. Yeagley will also be available during all lunch periods starting May 8. Please come to his office in room 103 to complete the survey during your lunch period. Note: It is required that all seniors complete the survey by May 20. Seniors who have not completed the survey will be unable to pick up their cap and gown for graduation. Complete Mandatory Graduation Questionnaire: All seniors are required to complete the Graduation Questionnaire by May 26. This information will be used to aid our planning to make your graduation goes as smoothly as possible. It will also help to ensure the pronunciation of your name is read correctly when you walk across the stage.
Purchase All Night Grad Party Tickets: Annandale High School’s All Night Grad Celebration is June 6 from 11:00pm-5:00am at Audrey Moore Rec Center! Tickets are on sale now. Students can order tickets here, or pick up the ticket form in the office. If you would like, you can Sponsor a Senior and purchase their ticket! Questions? Upcoming Senior Events
May 20 - Senior Prom, 8-11pm: Prom will be this Saturday, May 20 from 8:00-11:00pm at the Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks. Students must bring an ID to enter. In addition, guests who do not attend Annandale High School, must be pre-approved and bring an ID to enter. No middle school students or guests 21 or older will be permitted.
May 22-26 - Senior Exams: Senior Exams will be held on May 22-26. Note: Participation in senior exams is required. As a reminder, it is FCPS policy that all students are expected to participate in a final exam for every course. A student whose absence from the final examination or activity is unexcused could receive an F for that examination.

May 23-26 - Senior Laptop and Book Collection: Beginning Tuesday, May 23, students who no longer need their FCPS issued laptop can return it at the Main Gym Lobby after each senior exam block.

May 30 - Senior Sunset: Senior Sunset will take place on May 30 from 8:00-9:00pm. Students are encouraged to come watch the sunset on the football field with music, drinks, and food to celebrate the end of their senior year.
May 31 - Senior Awards Ceremony: Our annual Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on May 31 from 10:00-11:00am at Annandale High School. This ceremony provides us an opportunity to recognize seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in each content area, as well as celebrate those seniors who have been selected for community based awards and scholarships. We will provide more details as we get closer to the ceremony and will be communicating directly with the students and families of our award recipients. June 1 - Senior Obligations & Cap and Gown Distribution: Seniors must pay all outstanding obligations, including Senior Dues, prior to receiving their cap and gown. Financial obligations can be paid online via myschoolbucks.com, by using the myschoolbucks mobile app, or in person on June 1. Here are instructions for students on how to access MySchoolBucks.com. All senior obligations must be paid before picking up their cap and gown. If you have any questions, please email Jeremy DeBoe, Finance Technician.
Students can pick up their cap and gown and senior gift on June 1 during their assigned times listed below.

Students enter through Door 11, at the front of the building, to the upper gym where they will turn in all equipment and supplies and pay any obligations in order to become eligible to graduate.
June 2 - Graduation Rehearsal, 10:00-11:00am or 11:30-12:30pm: Graduation rehearsal will be held on the Annandale High School stadium field. Seniors who choose to participate in the Graduation Ceremony must attend graduation rehearsal during their assigned times below.

Students should meet on the home side stadium bleachers where they will receive information about the ceremony. After rehearsal, students will receive their tickets to graduation.
June 5 - Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremony: The Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 5, at 9:00am in our stadium. The rain date will be Tuesday, June 6.
June 6 - All Night Grad Party: Annandale High School’s All Night Grad Celebration is June 6 from 11:00pm-5:00am at Audrey Moore Rec Center! Tickets are on sale now. Save Your Google Drive Data: Attention seniors! FCPS Google Apps account is automatically disabled upon graduation. All files will be deleted upon graduation. Therefore, it is important that all of your data is downloaded from your Google Drive before graduation. Here’s how.
Roses for Graduates: Buy a rose for your graduate! Preorder on MySchoolBucks for $5.00 a rose by the end of the day on May 30, 2023. Pick up your graduate’s rose on June 5 before the graduation ceremony from 7:45am to 8:45am in front of the athletic lobby (Door 10).
Purchase a ‘Congratulations! Graduate’ Yard Sign: The Annandale PTSA is selling ‘Congratulations! Graduate yard signs once again this year! Yard signs are $15 for pickup or $20 delivered to your yard. All proceeds help to fund the four (4) Annandale High School PTSA Scholarships. Stay tuned for more information on how to order online!
