Introducing Our New Family Liaison
My name is Amy Garcia and I am very excited to be the new Family Liaison at Springfield Estates ES. I have been a Family Liaison for one year at another Fairfax County Elementary School. I have a background in teaching and have worked in various educational settings including elementary and middle school and adult training programs. I have three children in the Fairfax County Public Schools and love this community and school system. For the remainder of the school year I will be at Springfield Estates on Thursdays from 9:30am-2:30pm. For the 2023-24 school year I will be at Springfield Estates four days/week. I can help answer questions about Springfield Estates, SIS, Schoology, Fairfax County Public Schools, early education programs, summer programs and community resources. I can also help you fill out forms and arrange a translator if you need one. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, I would love to hear from you! Assessment Score Reports now available in ParentVue App
Student Assessment Score Reports are now available in the ParentVue app. Please see the following ParentVue sign-up message that was included in FCPS This Week on 4/26. Schools are encouraged to share/reinforce this message with their communities:
- What Is ParentVUE and How Can You Sign Up?
- If you do not already have a SIS ParentVUE account, sign up now to monitor and support your child’s academic success! Through ParentVUE, you are able to view your student’s attendance, grades, and assignments at any time. You can also access special reports for your student like progress reports and assessment score reports.
- Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. Access SIS ParentVUE by using an app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android devices.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Screener Report Coming Soon
Students in grades 3-12 took the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Screener in March. The SEL Screener reports will be mailed directly to families in the next week. This website includes both the Parent Report as well as a Family Guide to support you in understanding results and ideas for talking with your student about their results. Both are available in multiple languages. To learn more about SEL and how we support students at school and at home please see the FCPS SEL website. Please reach out to our school counselors, school psychologist or school social worker with any questions.

- 6th Grade Reading – May 9th
- 6th Grade Math – May 17th
Some individual tests will be on Mondays and Fridays from May 1-22. Retakes May 31-June 2.
