A Message From the Principal

Dear Families,

I can’t believe it is May! We are so excited about the various events and concerts that are scheduled over the next month. Please mark your calendars.  We can’t wait to see you there.

Today was Bike and Roll to School Day. It was wonderful to see our bike racks full. We are so happy to see our students engaging in another way to stay active and fit. Starting toay our staff will be participating in Wellness Wednesdays. You may hear how about your child’s teacher is walking laps with them or challenging them to drink more water.

Thanks for your continued partnership and support of your child.

Sincerely,

Erika Aspuria

Principal

Family Input Form SY 2023-24

Survey

Developing class assignments each year is a complex process. School administration, classroom teachers, counselors, special education staff and specialists all have the opportunity to provide feedback on class groupings.

If you have feedback that you would like for us to consider, please add it to this Family Input Form no later than Monday, May 15, 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted. We will consider all feedback provided, but we are not always able to fulfill requests.

We respectfully ask that you do not request particular teachers. It is unfair to give special consideration to some families when it would be impossible to grant requests from all families. Please be aware that grade level assignments for staff sometimes change, due to late enrollments or other changes.  Staff assignments are determined at the end of the summer.

Tuition assistance is available for students who qualify. Check out the website for more information or email eifta@fcps.edu.

Positivity Project

Enthusiasm

This week our school community will be focusing on the character strength of Enthusiasm.  Enthusiasm means you approach life with excitement and energy. You energize people around you.

Enthusiasm is the ability to bring life and excitement to different situations. It often leads to a higher level of involvement and engagement both for individuals and for groups. Those who demonstrate enthusiasm bring an energy and level of intensity to individual and group work. These people are often identified as early leaders and innovators as a result of their outward excitement about a task or project. Look for these people to recruit new group members and generate ideas.

To practice and encourage the character strength of perspective with your child, please visit the Positivity Project’s P2 for Families (password: P2), where together you will watch a video, read a quote, and talk about the answers to three questions.
