Major parents, student athletes, and the Mount Vernon HS community,
The Mount Vernon Athletic Training Program’s annual Sports Physical Night event will be held this year on May 24th. Appointment times available are 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30. As always, the goal of the event is to provide a complete and thorough pre-participation examination screening that will provide Major student athletes with a valid VHSL physical for the entirety of the 2023-24 academic year. Each year it is required that all student athletes have a completed VHSL physical on file before participating in sports at MV.
Not only are student athletes provided the opportunity to complete their VHSL physical early, but the event serves as THE predominant fundraiser for the Mount Vernon Athletic Training Program. Every piece of medical equipment and first aid supplies are paid for each year by fundraising. We do not receive any funding from FCPS or otherwise.
