Looking for ways to appreciate the RCMS teachers? We encourage our parents/guardians and students to send Thank You notes, Gift Cards, and anything to thank and appreciate the teachers. The more that is collected, the more staff we can honor. Creativeness is encouraged! We have a signup for $10 Gift Cards. Click HERE
We will have Thank A Teacher postcards (once they arrive) like the one pictured. These postcards will be available to the students write a note, to sign and give to their teacher. Teachers who receive these thank-you notes can then enter a drawing to win one of four Virginia vacation packages and money for their school!
In the coming week, we may ask for Volunteers (Parent/Guardian). So please be on the look out!
8th Grade Graduation Party
Celebrate your Rising 9th grader and finish out the year with a one last time at Rachel Carson Middle School!
On June 15 at 5:30pm the party will begin at RCMS and 3 hours later, in a blink of the eye, it will be over but will be so worth it!
We are having an Early Bird Special starting later today a with ticket prices set at $25 until May 11. Get your tickets at the lower price while you have the chance. Go to

The 25th Anniversary Celebration is a great time for the community to get together and celebrate the 25 Years of Panther Pride. The event will be taking place at the school May 11, 5:00-7:30pm. We need volunteers, please sign up at www.rcmspta.com/25th-anniversary-celebration we need volunteers before and during the event. This will be a great time for all students to get together, most of all 7th graders.

MURAL CONTEST - Want to be a part of Rachel Carson History? Enter the MURAL DESIGN contest to showcase 25 Years of Panther Pride at Rachel Carson. Your teams MURAL can be at part of the school forever. Click HERE for access to the form. Due Date is MAY 5th!
