Developing class assignments each year is a complex process. School administration, classroom teachers, counselors, special education staff and specialists all have the opportunity to provide feedback on class groupings.
If you have feedback that you would like for us to consider, please add it to this Family Input Form no later than May 12, 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted. We will consider all feedback provided, but we are not always able to fulfill requests.
We respectfully ask that you do not request particular teachers. It is unfair to give special consideration to some families when it would be impossible to grant requests from all families. Please be aware that grade level assignments for staff sometimes change, due to late enrollments or other changes. Staff assignments are determined at the end of the summer.
April is National Library month! While visiting the library this year, students have enjoyed many conversations about the new library being built as part of our renovation, and have had the pleasure of watching it come to life right from the windows of our current space.
At the school board meeting on April 27, the FCPS school board issued an official proclamation declaring the week of April 23 through April 29 National Library Week in honor of our county’s committed librarians. We are grateful to Mrs. Rapuano and Mrs. Grimsley for their work in making the library the hub of our school.

It will be a spirited week as we show appreciation for our teachers and staff, and your child can join in! On Thursday and Friday your child can choose which way to show their spirit with two awesome spirit day options.

We have over 60 coats, 150 sweatshirts, some pants, t-shirts and so much more in our lost and found which is now outside of the front office at the door #1 entrance. Small items (jewelry, watches, ear buds, military medals, etc) can be found in the front office. All items remaining will be donated at the end of the year.
