Student Charger and Laptop Collection
As we enter the fourth quarter, with the arrival of warmer weather and assessment season, we will not continue to send student laptops home. Beginning Friday, April 28, student devices will remain at school. Please make sure your child returns the labeled charger that they have been using at home to charge their device overnight. Chargers and individual laptops will be inventoried, and chargers will be collected. Individual devices will continued to be used at school by your child. If you would like for your child to continue to take the FCPS device home each night, please reach out to KGNotes@fcps.edu. All FCPS laptops and FCPS chargers should be labeled with your child’s name. We greatly appreciate your assistance.
PTA Earth Day Celebration
Saturday, April 29 at Kings Glen, 4-6 p.m.
It’s time to celebrate the Earth! Earth Day is coming up on the 29th of April! It would be great if you and your family could come to our awesome Kings Glen seedling sale! There will be many jobs for you and your Gators to do, specifically jobs in the KG Garden! If you would like to sign up for any job, sign up here.

Spring Portraits are now available to view and order online! Please visit vosphoto.com/uc to order, using your child's Student ID Number as the online code.
Parent questions/concerns regarding portraits can be directed to underclass@vosphoto.com.
April is Month of the Military Child
Kings Glen will be celebrating Military Child Month in April in several ways. For our Month of the Military Child celebration, KG will be displaying a world map with markers where military students have lived. Military families, please respond via this Google form where your student has lived if you would like to participate!

Staff Appreciation Week

We are celebrating Staff Appreciation Week next week! Help us celebrate our “super” staff at Kings Park and Kings Glen. Come by on Sunday, April 30 (weather permitting) in the afternoon to leave a chalk message for your superheroes! Check out our website to help us support this endeavor.
PTA Earth Day Celebration at Kings Glen ES
Saturday, April 29, 4-6 p.m.
KPKG PTA's second annual Earth Day celebration will take place TOMORROW, Saturday, April 29th at 4-6pm at Kings Glen. We have a fabulous lineup of new and returning exhibitors, including Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Hidden Gems Farm, and a polar oceanographer. We are also planning some fun activities with a chance to win prizes and will have two food trucks onsite. We hope you will join us!

The new officers will be elected next month. Our final General Membership Meeting of the school year will be held at Braddock Hall (9002 Burke Lake Road, Burke, VA 22015) - this is the same building as the Kings Park Library. We will be celebrating all our volunteers, so please mark your calendars for May 25th at 7pm. Stay tuned for more information coming soon on ways you can help the PTA. We are bringing back committees to help us lead initiatives, some of which need to start organizing this summer.
