Pilot of Online Registration Includes Fort Belvoir Upper School

Online Registration (OLR) will be available at more than 30 pilot schools beginning Friday, March 31. All FCPS schools will offer online registration beginning in June.

Families will be able to register their students electronically via SIS ParentVUE. Directions to setting up a SIS ParentVUE account are on the online registration page.

The new system reduces manual data entry of basic student registration at all schools, allows online registration using the portal at any hour of any day, and enables secure electronic upload of student registration documents and storage, reducing paper records management. Parents/Guardians will continue to have the option of downloading the registration form bundle or paper registration forms as needed. Visit our website for more information on registering your child

SOL Parent/Guardian Permission to Retest Form

The Virginia Board of Education allows elementary and middle school students who fail their spring Standards of Learning (SOL) tests by a narrow margin to retake the test before the end of the school year.  Retesting is available when a student fails their first SOL attempt with a score of 375-399.  (A score of 400 is considered passing for SOL tests.)

Parent/Guardian permission is required for the school to retest any student in grades 3-8.  If you believe that your student would benefit from a second opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills on the spring SOL test, please complete this permission form.  A decision NOT to allow retesting will not impact your student's course grade or academic record.

**This form must be returned for each student in grades 3-8.  Complete this form digitally HERE.

Update Emergency Care Contacts in SIS

Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to ensuring that the climate in all FCPS facilities is safe and secure. In support of this goal, FCPS provides weCare@school (weCare), an emergency care information system, available to FCPS parents and guardians who have registered for their own Parent account.

weCare helps manage emergency medical information by enabling parents to go online to enter and update their children’s medical data at their convenience. Contact information provided automatically enrolls parents to receive eNotify communications from the district and their child’s school. eNotify is the communications tool for FCPS emergency, transportation, attendance, weather closings and delays, and essential outreach messages. Messages are sent via email and text messages. Occasional phone messages are sent as well

Get more information about updating your emergency care information.

 FCPS Cares!

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees at Fort Belvoir Upper ES. We love our FBES staff members, let's tell them how we feel!
