📋GBE Family Input for 2023-2024📋

The school year 2023-2024 planning has begun! Since we work in partnership with our families to provide a supportive school environment for our students, we would like to invite you to share some information about your child.  This form is not intended for families to request specific teachers.  Rather we are looking for more input to assist us with making the best teacher and student match.

Class assignments are made by a team. Your child’s current teacher, specialists, upcoming grade-level staff, and administrators collaborate to develop class lists for next school year. This form will be reviewed and considered when we begin this process. Greenbriar East embraces collective responsibility and all of our staff are equipped to meet individual student needs.

Please complete the information below (one form per child) and submit the form by Friday, May 26th.

Eid Al-Fitr

eid al fitr

Student Holiday 4/21/23

Eid al-Fitr, also known as small Eid, marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, and is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar.Muslims congregate that morning for Eid prayers. It is a time of official receptions and private visits, when friends greet one another, presents are given, new clothes are worn, and the graves of relatives are visited. The most common way to wish someone a Happy Eid al-Fitr is Eid Mubarak, which means “blessed feast” (or festival). Read more at Britannica.com.

👀Lost and Found👀

Please stop by GBR Lost and Found to look for missing items! You may stop by until Friday, April 28th to pickup at school. 🏫 Attendance Matters 🏫

Attendance-es

Children who show up for school regularly develop fundamental reading and math skills while building a habit of good attendance that will carry them into college and careers. Research shows that children who were chronically absent in kindergarten and 1st grade were far less likely to read proficiently at the end of 3rd grade

Pickup Patrol

Important Reminders

Greenbriar East uses PickUp Patrol for parents to report absences, late arrivals, and early pick-ups.

GBE values PickUp Patrol as it ensures a safe dismissal for all students based on the child's default plan. Please use the link here.

To update your child's default plan to "bus rider", "kiss and ride", or "walker," simply log in and select a dismissal option. Then hit submit and that’s it! Your child's teacher and the main office will be notified. Updating your child's default plan is a one-time action. Use PickUp Patrol regularly to report a plan change, absence, late arrival, or early pick-up. A default plan is NEEDED for all students.

ALL PLAN CHANGES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 2:15 P.M.

Please contact our main office if you do not have an active account and require a new welcome activation email.
