1st grade scavenger hunt looking for signs of spring

1st Grade Scientists

Ms. Brady’s 1st grade class took their learning outside and went on a Spring Scavenger Hunt to look for signs of spring around our school and recording their observations.

5th grade scientists made a human rainbow.

5th Grade Scientists

Students in Ms. Wagner's 5th grade class have been studying which wavelengths are long and which are short and what colors the wavelengths are. They made their learning visible by forming a human rainbow showing the different sizes and colors.

Chantilly Pyramid Spotlight on Student Learning

Pyramid Spotlight on Student Learning

The Chantilly pyramid will host a Spotlight on Student Learning event on April 25th from 6:00-7:30 pm at Franklin Middle School. Come and see how students are engaging in rich learning experiences that support our Portrait of a Graduate attributes! There will be a student and teacher panel as well as a fair-style showcase, and student-designed stickers will be given out at the event. Families and students are welcome! You don’t want to miss it!

We will have a school-wide book drive as part of the Saul Paul Be the Change Challenge.

Recently Lees Corner students and staff welcomed SaulPaul to share his #BeTheChange message. We are excited to participate in a community service project to be part of that change.

During the month of April, we are inviting students to donate ONE new or gently used book to our book drive. Students will have the opportunity to write a book recommendation on a post-it note to attach to the book. If you would like, you may purchase a book at our book fair for the book drive. Students may bring their books to school April 10th-28th.
