Principal's Message

Culture Night 2

This week not only brought in warm weather, but lots of opportunities to reconnect with our students coming back from Spring Break. Our Third grade students went to the US Botanical Garden, we welcomed future Leprechauns into the building for Kindergarten Orientation, and celebrated our individual and community identities during our Arts and Culture Night. It was such an energizing night with the variety of cultures reflected in the beautiful outfits, delicious food, and fun activities that were present throughout the night!

Culture Night 3

Here are just a few pictures of our wonderful evening with our students, families, and staff!

Culture Night 1

This Monday is the first day of the 4th quarter. We are all looking forward to continuing to grow and finish out this 2022-2023 school year strong! We know that at Lynbrook our possibilities continue to be endless !

With gratitude,

Kathleen Sain

National Arab American Heritage Month

Arab Heritage Month

In April, people throughout the United States celebrate Arab American Heritage Month. This history is a foundational part of American history. Students deserve meaningful, sustained opportunities to learn about the experiences and contributions of Arab Americans year-round, and the celebration of Arab American Heritage Month is an opportunity to honor diverse and important stories.

Purple Up! Month of the Military Child

Purple Up! Day

To show our support for all our military-connected families, we are inviting all Fairfax County students, families, school employees, and community members to “Purple Up!” on April 19 for military children. Why purple? Purple symbolizes all branches of the military as a combination of Army green, Marine Corps red, and Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force and Space Force blue.

Dangers of Fentanyl

Dangers of Fentanyl

Community Meeting on the Dangers of Fentanyl

Last month, the division hosted a conversation on the dangers of fentanyl. During this impactful event, audience members heard testimonials from individuals affected by the opioid epidemic and learned facts from medical experts and law enforcement representatives.  The conversation will continue on Monday, April 24, 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Woodson High School. Transportation will be available from select schools throughout the county. View the registration page for details.

Visit our Opioid Awareness webpage for more information. Visit the Fairfax County Government webpage on opioids for information on how you can take action and how to get help for yourself or loved ones.
