REMINDER:
Friday, April 21st - Student Holiday (No School for Students)
Student Charger and Laptop Collection
As we enter the fourth quarter, with the arrival of warmer weather and assessment season, we will not continue to send student laptops home. Beginning Friday, April 28, student devices will remain at school. Please make sure your child returns the labeled charger that they have been using at home to charge their device overnight. Chargers and individual laptops will be inventoried, and chargers will be collected. Individual devices will continued to be used at school by your child. If you would like for your child to continue to take the FCPS device home each night, please reach out to KGNotes@fcps.edu. All FCPS laptops and FCPS chargers should be labeled with your child’s name. We greatly appreciate your assistance.
PTA Earth Day Celebration
Saturday, April 29 at Kings Glen, 4-6 p.m.
It’s time to celebrate the Earth! Earth Day is coming up on the 29th of April! It would be great if you and your family could come to our awesome Kings Glen seedling sale! There will be many jobs for you and your Gators to do, specifically jobs in the KG Garden! If you would like to sign up for any job, sign up here.

Kings Jesters Moana Jr. Tickets On Sale Now!
Show Dates April 26th and 27th
Back after a 3-year hiatus, the Kings Jesters will be performing the musical Moana Jr. on Wednesday, April 26 and Thursday, April 27! Tickets are $5 each, and can be purchased via MySchoolBucks, cash, or check payable to Kings Glen ES. If paying by cash/check, please place in envelope with your student's name and teacher. Seating is limited, so be sure to get your tickets!

Kings Glen Trex Plastic Collection Completed
Thank you so much for all of the plastic that has been sent in to school! We collected 697 pounds! Trex will announce the winning school this week.
While we are no longer collecting plastic at Kings Glen for the remainder of this school year, you can still drop off plastic at any Giant, Harris Teeter, Kohl’s, Safeway, Wegmans and multiple other Virginia sites. Visit NexTrex for more information. Keep on recycling!
Spring Pictures Are Now Available to Order!
Spring Portraits are now available to view and order online! Please visit vosphoto.com/uc to order, using your child's Student ID Number as the online code.
Parent questions/concerns regarding portraits can be directed to underclass@vosphoto.com.
April is Month of the Military Child
Kings Glen will be celebrating Military Child Month in April in several ways. For our Month of the Military Child celebration, KG will be displaying a world map with markers where military students have lived. Military families, please respond via this Google form where your student has lived if you would like to participate!

Baskets Bonanza!
Going On Now Through April 26
Our always popular spring FUNdraiser (Baskets Bonanza!) started last week and continues until 7pm on April 26th. The event is taking place online at http://kpkgpta.basketraffle.org. Tickets are $1 each and can be used for any of the 100 themed baskets, staff experiences or community donated items. This year we are pleased to offer a pair of Nationals Tickets to any Home Game along with a $100 Nall's Gift Card. Complete information can be found on our website. PTA Earth Day Celebration at Kings Glen ES
Saturday, April 29, 4-6 p.m.
KPKG PTA's second annual Earth Day celebration will take place on Saturday, April 29th at 4-6pm at Kings Glen. We have a fabulous lineup of new and returning exhibitors, including Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Hidden Gems Farm, and a polar oceanographer. We are also planning some fun activities with a chance to win prizes and will have two food trucks onsite. We hope you will join us!
