Literacy Night Book Swap

Literacy Night is coming up on April 12th from 6:30 - 8pm. One of the activities you and your student can visit that evening will be a book swap. If your student is interested in participating, we are asking that they bring ONE book in good condition from home. Please have your child bring their book to the library where we will have a collection bin. We ask that you only bring ONE book since we don’t have the storage capacity for more than that. When your child stops by the book swap on Literacy Night, they will be able to take a new book home to keep! Thank you very much!

New Date! Discovery Garden Spring Clean-Up April 15

We were rained out for our originally scheduled Discovery Garden Spring Clean-Up Day but warmer temperatures and, hopefully, clearer skies will have us back out there on Saturday, April 15 from 1:00-3:00 pm.

We'll be tackling our usual garden chores for the season so expect some weeding, cutting, edging and mulching. Again, there's a good chance some thinned perennials will need some new homes so it's a fun way to get started in your own garden. This is a family event and kids are encouraged to join us as we work(with supervision) and no experience is necessary. We will have some children's gloves on hand and tools but feel free to bring your own along with water and sunscreen. Any questions? Mantua Science Fair

Mantua students participating in our Science and Engineering Fair will be showcasing their projects in the Mantua Cafeteria on Wednesday, April 19 from 6 - 7:30pm. Students, families, teachers, and members of the community are invited to learn about the projects, ask insightful questions, and give constructive feedback as the students practice and prepare for competing at the Regional Science Fair.

Pet Supply Drive

Kids Care Club is sponsoring a Pet Supply Drive! A box will be placed outside the front office beginning 3/28 and ending on 4/24.

Items in need include: unopened dog and cat food, pet toys (for dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits), used or new towels, dog leashes/collars/harnesses, training treats, and animal beds and bedding.

Mantua PTA Read-A-Thon

Mark Your Calendars! The 2nd Annual Mantua PTA Read-a-Thon Fundraiser will be taking place April 17-28. Over the course of these 2 weeks, students will be encouraged to read, read, read! Students will be able to track minutes online and be eligible for some fun raffle prizes! This is one of our PTA's biggest fundraisers, so we thank you in advance for your support. “Soles to End Alz” Used Shoe Drive

Donating old shoes helps you clean out your closet, protect the environment, and supports The Alzheimer’s Association’s spring shoe drive!

As part of her Bat Mitzvah project, 6th grader Abby Stern is collecting gently used tennis shoes for the “Soles to End Alz” shoe donation fundraiser to benefit The Alzheimer’s Association. Please bring in any gently used sneakers and find the purple donation box by the “Welcome” sign in the lobby. Donations will be accepted through 4/21/23. Thanks!

Mantua Talent Show - Save the Date

The Mantua Talent Show will be on the following dates: 

Rehearsal - Friday, May 12, 4-8pm
Show - Saturday, May 13, 5-9pm

Registration link will be sent out after spring break. Start working on your acts now! They should be no longer than 2 minutes.

DIRECTOR SEARCH! This will be my last year as director since my twins are in 6th grade. We need someone to take over the show starting next year. I am happy to show you the ropes this year!
