Spring Cleaning – Library Book Returns

With springtime in the air and Spring Break approaching, we need our KP lions to do some spring cleaning by returning overdue library books. Please return the books to the library your child is not reading.

If your child's backpack this week, you will find a list of books your child currently has checked out on a blue paper. If you have questions about your library books, please reach out to Mrs. Crabill mlcrabill@fcps.edu.

Newly Eligible Level IV Family Orientation,
Thursday, April 13th 5:45pm

Families of 2nd and 3rd grade students who were screened this spring for full time (Level IV) academic services can expect eligibility notification to come directly from the AAP office via the on-file parent email address in early to mid-April. Historically, this notification has come around the week of Spring Break.

Students who are found eligible through this central selection process are invited to attend a family orientation on Thursday, April 13, at 5:45 pm. Parents and eligible students are encouraged to attend. Students will have a chance to experience three exciting activities with KP teachers and current Local Level IV students, while their parents attend the overview presentation. As you await the eligibility notification, we encourage you to save this date on your calendar.

If your child is not found eligible through the initial central selection process, the notification email will contain directions to appeal the decision if you would like to pursue that option at this time. Students who are found eligible after the appeals process, or as newcomers to FCPS, will be welcomed in the fall.
