Hello Wolftrap Community!

Sheet Music graphic

I had a wonderful time attending the Thoreau/Kilmer Honor band concert last week. Not only did I get to see our current students, but I also got to see some Wolftrap alums who go to Marshall High School. It reminds me of what wonderful staff we have here, working with our students in a variety of ways. Mr. Joe McClure, our band director, prepared our students beautifully for the concert. We have an amazing staff!

Warmly,

Dr. Grove
Principal

Administration Updates

Arrison POL-POL presentation

CONGRATULATIONS to Ms. Suzanne Arrison:

Ms. Arrison presented the work that she has done with her 5th grade class using Portrait of a Graduate Skills at a recent POG-POL share fair. The symposium was attended by teachers and leadership from around FCPS. It was a wonderful time to share and network with colleagues.

See the link above for materials for this program. We are going to participate in April, and classrooms are still in need of materials. Thank you, if you can help us out!

COVID test kits:

If your family is planning to travel or attend large gatherings during spring break, and you would like to ensure your child is healthy before returning to school, please contact us at the Wolftrap office to obtain a test kit in advance of spring break. Please note, testing is NOT required for students to return to school after break. However, you may want to test your student if they are symptomatic or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

You may receive 2 kits per student on a first come, first served basis, until we have distributed all kits. Parents may contact the Wolftrap office to access a kit while supplies last. Our school will be receiving more kits after Spring Break to keep for our clinic to distribute to families who pick up a sick student from school.

Message from the PTA Board

Believe it or not, it's time to think about the next school year! At our last PTA meeting, we voted in our Nominating Committee, who will help us find our new candidates for open Board positions next year. If you're interested in learning more about the Board, fill out this interest form so we can reach out to you. Elections will take place at the May PTA meeting and new officers start their role on July 1.

5K Updates - Register, Raffle Baskets and More!

Our 5k Raffle Baskets need your help! Raffle basket items are due before Spring Break on March 31st.

Our raffle baskets are fully community donated. Please consider purchasing items from our handy grade assigned Amazon Wish Lists OR drop off new goodies you have kicking around the house to the Wolftrap front office.
