   Stress Less, Laugh More Week at Franklin MS
Franklin Families and Students,
We had an amazing week at Franklin MS! It was Stress Less, Laugh More Week at our school and everyone got in on the fun. There was so much laughter filling our hallways, and it was wonderful to be part of it all. There were bubble machines, photos shoots, spirt days, therapy animals, staff vs. student basketball games, and alpacas! We will always maintain high expectations for our students regarding their academic knowledge, social behaviors, and real-world skills, but this week was a good reminder that the school experience should also be a place for fun, engagement, and joy. We would like to share a huge THANK YOU to one of our school counselors, Mrs. Kim Gallagher, who made this special week a reality for our students.

- The Franklin vs. Rocky Run Basketball Game will take place on Monday, April 17 at Chantilly HS. Please be sure to purchase tickets in advance before they sell out.
- The amazing artistic talents of our students will be on display at the Chantilly Pyramid Art Show on April 19.
- We hope you will save the date for the Chantilly Pyramid Spotlight on Student Learning on April 25. This will be a great opportunity to see the Portrait of a Graduate attributes in action in our schools.
- Our Spring SOL Assessment Schedule has been finalized and you can find the details below.

Franklin MS vs Rocky Run MS Basketball Game on April 17
Our annual Rocky Run MS vs Franklin MS Basketball Game is back! We hope you and your child are able to attend this fun event at Chantilly High School. The game will be on Monday, April 17. Doors open at 4:30 PM and the first game will begin at 5:15 PM. Tickets are $5.00 each and you can purchase tickets on MySchoolBucks from April 10 – 14. Tickets will also be sold at the door the night of the game. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Mollé.
Chantilly Pyramid Art Show on April 19
Please save the date for the Chantilly Pyramid Art Show on April 19 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The art show will feature artworks from: Chantilly HS, Franklin MS, Rocky Run MS, Brookfield ES, Greenbriar East ES, Greenbriar West ES, Lees Corner, ES, Oak Hill ES, and Poplar Tree ES. Families are invited for fun activities and to view featured artwork. There will also be food trucks, so come hungry!
Save the Date - Pyramid Spotlight on Student Learning
The Chantilly Pyramid is excited to host a Spotlight on Student Learning on April 25 from 6:00 PM -7:30 PM at Franklin Middle School. This event will feature students from all schools in the pyramid sharing their learning related to Portrait of a Graduate attributes. There will be a teacher and student panel as well as a showcase of learning. We will also be giving away student-designed stickers! Families and students are welcome - see you there!
Spring SOL Testing Calendar
The spring SOL testing calendar can be found below. Details about testing days and possible changes to the bell schedule will be communicated regularly to students ahead of the testing window. Please avoid absences, such as scheduling appointments, during this time. As always, it is important for students to arrive at school on time, especially on these testing days.
Franklin MS After School Program

We hope your child has found an interest in one or more of our after-school activities. As a reminder, many of our clubs are “open enrollment” meaning students are welcome to start attending whenever they are ready. For questions regarding the After School Program, please email Mrs. Mollé.
Franklin MS Office Closed During Spring Break
Our school office will be closed during the week of April 3-7. We will resume normal office hours on April 10.
Hidden in Plain Sight Program at Chantilly HS
Chantilly High School will be hosting a community awareness program called Hidden in Plain Sight on April 27 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Hidden in Plain Sight is a family focused community awareness program to educate families on current trends and signs of risky behavior among teens.This is recommended for adults only, and pre-registration is required. Chantilly HS Athletic Boosters Girls Basketball Camp
Any girls interested in playing basketball at Chantilly HS next year, please contact Coach Regan to learn more about offseason workouts, summer camp, and other events. We are looking forward to seeing you and can’t wait for you to join the Charger family!
