March 24th Spirit Day
Attention VES families: mark your calendar for our upcoming spirit day on Friday, March 24th. Our SCA Reps & Officers are hosting an “Anything But a Backpack Day.” For this spirit day event, we ask that students abandon their back packs for the day and use their creativity to find a different way to transport their school supplies to school. Some ideas we’ve seen in the past include laundry baskets, shoe boxes, pillow cases, small totes and duffel bags. We encourage your child to have fun with this spirit day event, while also making choices that are safe and appropriate for school.
150th Birthday Party for Vienna Elementary School
Come help us celebrate Vienna’s 150th Anniversary on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 5:00-6:30 pm! Vienna Elementary has the designation as the longest continuous operating school within Fairfax County Public Schools and also happens to be one of the oldest schools. This birthday is to celebrate the rich history within Vienna as well the advancements that have come since its opening. We welcome all past, current, and future Vikings along with their families to help us mark this big year. There will be food, plenty of field space, music, and activities for the children to enjoy. Please spread the word loud and far for all to hear!

SOL Testing Schedule
Below you will find the Vienna SOL Assessment schedule for Spring 2023. It is important that your child attend school on these days. If possible, please avoid scheduling trips or appointments that would take your child out of school during this time period. It is also important that your child has had a good night’s rest, dresses comfortably, and eats a healthy breakfast before testing. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

Come Celebrate Kindness at the VES 5k and Fun Run!
Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 23 8am! The Vienna Community will participate in a Fun Run or 5k called "Kilometers for Kindness!" All information can be found here: https://www.vespta5krun.org
Register before March 31 to guarantee a t-shirt! If you are not free that day - no worries! We have virtual options listed. This event also raises money for the PTA to host events and support our teachers and students.
TJ Techstravaganza 2023
The 19th annual Techstravaganza will be held on May 13, 10:00 am-4:00 pm at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, VA and FCPS students are invited to attend.
