This spring some students will be screened by a school-based committee for Subject Specific Advanced Differentiation (Level II) and Part Time (Level III) Advanced Academic services to begin in the 2023-2024 school year.
If you would like to learn more about these services, you can find that information here. To refer your child for screening, please complete this form and email it to Mrs. Janofsky, Advanced Academics Resource Teacher, and CC the classroom teacher by Friday April 7th. This form covers both Level II and Level III. Translations of the form are available here under “AAP School Based Services (Level II-III) Referral Form”.
Please note, you do not need to submit a form if:
- Your child is currently in 6th grade. Level II and III services are not offered in middle school.
- Your child is currently receiving Subject Specific Advanced Differentiation (Level II) or Part Time (Level III) Advanced Academic services.
- Any student receiving Level II services will automatically be rescreened to determine eligibility for next year.
- Any student receiving Level III services will continue those services next year unless you are contacted otherwise.
- If your child was screened for Level IV services this year, you do not need to submit a referral form. Any student found ineligible for Level IV services will automatically be screened for Subject Specific Advanced Differentiation (Level II) and Part Time (Level III) Advanced Academic services. You will be contacted by mail in June with the eligibility decision.
Please email Mrs. Janofsky at mljanofsky@fcps.edu with any questions.
