Happy St. Patrick’s Day Fox Mill Families,

So many good things have been happening in our building. We cannot contain our excitement at the prospect of all our students and staff moving into the new section of the building very soon. Our boxes have arrived, and teachers are revved up about finally saying goodbye to our outdoor learning cottages.

On March 14, the upper grades recognized Pi Day by engaging in educational math games. We were not treated to pies, much to our dismay, but took advantage of the yummy cookies served at lunch on Tuesday.

Daiten Sensei and Otsuka Sensei’s students had the pleasure of meeting and learning from Yoshi Anpuku, puzzle master from Japan.  Yoshi is a seasoned puzzle maker and president at Nikoli, a Tokyo based company founded by the Godfather of Sudoko, Maki Kaji, in 1980.  Thanks to our Japanese Immersion Program teachers for arranging this visit.

On Wednesday, students came in “dressed to the nines” for picture day. Should you have any questions regarding your pictures once received, please reach out to Mrs. Sterner in the front office.

Thank you to all families who attended our Kindergarten Round Up Meeting today.

There is still time to register your kindergartener!

Do you have a rising kindergarten child, but missed the kindergarten round-up event? The kindergarten team’s presentation and information about the school health room has been added to our Kindergarten Round-Up webpage.

If you have a child who will turn 5 years old before 9/30/23, please contact Amy Migliara to schedule a registration verification appointment.

Visit https://www.fcps.edu/registration/kindergarten-registration for requirements and forms, or contact Amy, ammigliara@fcps.edu  via email at ammigliara@fcps.edu   or by phone 703-262-2700 for a hard copy packet.

We are looking forward to meeting your amazing boys and girls at our Kindergarten Family Open House in August.

Lost and Found

As the weather warms up, students tend to leave their jackets or light sweaters on the playground.  Several of these items are now in lost and found (located at the back of the cafeteria). Please take a moment on your next visit to locate any article of clothing or water bottle your child may be missing.
