Franklin MS Weekly Update - March 17

Award-winning author, Jennifer Nielsen, visited Franklin MS on March 14.

Franklin Families and Students,

Good Afternoon!

It has been a wonderful week at FMS. We had an amazing Author Visit on Tuesday, a Theatre field trip to the Kennedy Center and an afterschool Roller Skating Party on Wednesday, and several successful performances by our Bands, Orchestras, and Choirs. I would like to share a special THANK YOU to our PTA for supporting the Author Visit from the award-winning writer, Jennifer Nielsen. This was an outstanding and memorable experience for our students.

We are also pleased to share that our Rising 9th Grade students will be able to participate in the High School Activities Fair at Oakton and Chantilly on Friday, March 24, 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about clubs, sports and tips to succeed at Oakton and Chantilly High School. Students will also have the chance to meet Oakton and Chantilly staff members, including administrators, counselors and club sponsors.

Students will depart from Franklin Middle School at 9:30 AM and return at 12:00 PM. All students attending the field trip will eat during C lunch when they return to FMS.  Permission slips have been distributed during all lunches and will continue to be available in the main office and on Schoology for students. Permission slips are due back to the main office by Tuesday, March 21. Please reach out to our After School Specialist, Courtney Mollé, with any questions.

Best wishes for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

Sincerely,

Dustin Wright

Principal
